Exhaust Options for a '86 250r... Need help!

I'm in the market for buying a new exhaust system for my '86 250r, I was thinking FMF Fatty Pipe with either a FMF Power Core Silencer or a DG Oval Type 2... Either of these sound/perform better than the other? or possibly some other options out there I havent ran across yet you guys know of?

I've got a Paul Turner Hi Rev on my '85R with a FMF Powercore, it sounds normal, and runs exceptionally well. I've also got a 38mm PJ carb on mine with the stock reedcage, airbox, and lid. I ride trails and open areas, and I have no problems with fouling plugs or with the powerband being too high. It does pull very hard from midrange to topend.

I have an FMF Gold series pipe for sale along with an FMF silencer of some type. They both came from the 86 250r I'm parting out. They aren't perfect but they work fine. PM me an offer if you are interested.

I got a FMF and a Turbinecore on my 86. If you think your gonna get check for a us forestry aprovel I'd go with the turbine core or some other spark arrested silencer. This system is a big differnce over stock and Its good for the price. My other pipe I have is a early 90's PSI power hi rev. Its got NO bottom end and a very strong mid and up. I kinda wish I'd went with the esr now

Forestry Approval isnt really a concern at all here in south mississippi, They more worried about rednecks shining game.. haha... anyway I've tried finding an ESR with no avail.. I have a FMF Fatty on the way with the DG Oval.. gonna try that combo but silencers seem pretty cheap considering.. I've saw some bikes with CT and S II... couldnt find any of them as well... I'll keep my eyes open I guess

Ya, I've been to that site seems theres only 4-trax exhaust, nothing for the ATC 250r.. only TRX 250r.. and speaking of rednecks.. I wasn't calling out anyone if you can read the mods on the 750 Brute Force in my signature, lol you should know immediately I'm a redneck,, I just don't hunt.

I have a FMF gold expansion chamber you can have, not dented or anything but it's red so you'll need to paint it. At least you can try it to see if you like it. I'm in Lacombe, La. next to Slidell.

I think you should make a decision based on the type of riding you plan on doing. There's more to a pipe than just a name.
    3 CR500R's and counting. Do I really need 4???
Do I really need 9 Tigers?

DO NOT send any thing to whats his face (dirt-face/crasher) here on the board. What a scum bag. He screwed (stole) money from me and screwed me on my ME360 and Hondaline 300R engine rebuilds.

Very True, hense the reason I started this thread, I'm lookin for something thats good for a casual rider, not going to be raced so just something thats good thru the RPM ranges doesnt have to be Dominant in neither the top or bottom end... Just suggestions from knowledged riders is all I'm looking for before I go out and spend $500 on parts that if I had asked someone before hand could have told me "It's not worth it, shoulda went this da-da-da"

ESR makes ATC pipes. The ATC 5 pipe.

I have ordered a few this year.

Here is what they look like..

If you dont plan on heavy engine mods, then the FMF fatty or DG is the way to go..Good all around power but the FMF hits harder in the mid and hi range than the DG.

I have run all 3 mentioned above..
The ESR is the best power maker, best built, and most costly. It really shines on a built motor, on a stock engine, you will be looking for some bottom end torque with the ESR...
The others are good for mild builds and help a stock engine with bottom end torque and midrange.
Here is where my long useless list of stuff nobody cares about should go...
