Honda 350X motor questions

Well I guess I have acquired this 350X motor. It does have a few issues but it does(or at least it did)run. Here are the issues that I know of:

1)Missing exhaust studs
---One is broke off
2)Crack in the case around the front sprocket
---Is JB welded and seems to be holding good


Now here goes with the questions:

1)Are there any other Honda motor parts that are compatable with the 350X?
2)What year motor is this?
3)What are your opinions on this motor from what you see?
4)Opinions on the possible value of this motor with the exhaust and carb along with 2 CDI's?
5)If I decide to sell it would I be better parting everything out?

I don't have a roller for this yet so I am trying to decide what I should do with this motor so I appreciate any and ALL info from you guys. Thanks in advance.

Looks to be an 85'. I'm sure the 350x experts will chime in soon.

Looks to be an 85' motor to me. I would take the top end off and check over everything, and replace what needs to be done. I would not sell, just keep it as you never know when you might need it. The value is around $300-$400 in good running condition. Looks like you are missing the chain/ sprocket cover and decompression cable and the exhaust stud looks to be dry welded in. The header pipe kind of seems welded or bent somehow. Ive had several supertrapp exhausts and can say they are a very nice pipe for the 350x. Id say its in overall fair condition will some life left in her.
