    200?

I have the same prob and just parked it with the other misbehavers.

it WILL start with the pull tho right?

    anyway, I bought a 250es for 150bucks instead of fixing the 200

Now on the 250es there are 2 wires behind a cover by the brake pedal marked N and R

if you ground the Neutral 'N' wire, to anything, it should light up and start and then just let it stay disconnected until you need to start it again..

otherwise it WILL start in gear.

I happed to get a new honda neutral switch that screws into the gearbox for like 15 bucks so all is back to normal.

pretty sure there are wire diagrams and manuals on this site in the 'world class help' area.

just realized my daughter call me from cape breton last week and is now in PEI.

She's on vacation and slowly making her way back to Oregon.

Hope that hurricane is done by the time it gets up your way.

Good luck with that switch circuit.
    Yours sounds pretty simple.

You could even hook up a secret on off switch to ground that neutral safety switch.

I just had a piece of speaker wire hanging out that I touch to the case to get my green light ground because all you need it for is to start, and then let it hang loose until I need it again.
(lazy) Then I broke down and bought a switch after gf ran her foot over starting it in gear.

again, remember ...if you hot wire it, the light will always say neutral and WILL start in gear
    (NOT recommended)

Your wire should be coming out behind your high low range switch and the reverse switch is in the same area
