Out with the new back to the vintage! What is the best wheeler

I'm looking for the opinions on what 3-wheelers people like to ride the best for trails and whats good for the climbing and going over trees and rocks. Right now I have a 85 honda 200m big red and a 85 honda 200x. I like riding the big red more then the 200x, but tend to hurt myself alot on the big red because i ride it like a race machine. Does anyone have a 250sx and what do you think of it or any other good riding wheelers. Big red just about snapped my leg the other day, just about rolled it and caught myself but my foot was wedged between a big rock and the back tire and just about twisted my leg off.

350x? pfff ok lol, lets say the average person has 2-15 acres to ride. the rest of their riding is at the dunes or trails or ect...
when riding something that fast in an area as small as 2-15 acres (around the yard) it gets boring fast. you zip this way then that way and you covered it all. even with friends all you do is blast around racing for 20 mins then its boring.
But on a 110 you can mess around, find a small mud hole and have fun in that alone for 20 mins. get a friend and that mud hole is an all day event.
you can blast around as fast as you can and you still find you haven't covered the yard yet. lol plus if a big red is hurting you just imagine what you will do to yourself on a 350x.

ride a 110 like a race machine all you want, you wont be going too fast. lol

me and all my friends had fast quads (400ex, banshee, yfz450, ltz400, raptor 660r) as we kept racing each other.... then it got boring as we had less and less area to ride (our 100 acre riding area got turned into farm land) so now most of those guys have pit bikes and a xr 80 and i kick it up on the 110 and one other has a 250sx, we have fun all day just messin around each others yards.

so what i learned is slow isnt always bad, right now i have the choice between a yamaha 4-moto 80 and a 200es big red while i finish my 110 and i like the 80 more, much more fun

just my experience, unless you go out on big rides alot, get the slow machine. =P

Id say the best all around trike would be a 250sx because its slightly sporty, has a hitch to pull a trailer, optional racks for hauling. You have to make up your mind if your going to need a more utility atv or a sport atv. a liquid r is super fun and hauls butt and no trailer or gear, and a 250 big red hauls huge loads but you wont be taking home any checked flags at the moto x with it.

Lot of truth to the above statements. That is the reason I bought my 250sx. no where really open to ride the R or even the 350X. I love the electric start and reverse on the 250sx. there is plenty of power, not enough to give you the adrenaline rush , like the R or the x, BUT A PERFECT AMOUNT for trail riding. The suspension is the only weak link on the SX

The 250SX is my preference. However there is not a definitive "Best" 3 wheeler out there in my opinion. There is such a diverse culture of riders out there that like different machines for different reasons.

It all depends on what kind of riding you are going to do, I prefer a big red or any kind of automatic clutch when riding in the woods but as far as long stretches and dunes a manual clutch is better I think. The 250SX would be a good choice but I love my 1987 200X. From experience, the 200 big red models are bullet proof and more stable even when climbing hills, very reliable machines but they do not have a rear suspension which makes for a bumpy ride, lol.

makes me wonder , why so many variations on the 200's , 200, 200s, 200e, 200m 200es?....200X what gives ? can their really be that much difference?

dealing with the same thing for about two months now..the 350X is my first choice because of the lack of bell's and whistles and I can work on it.I was looking at the 250SX but the weight and shaft drive and reverse kinda made a red flag for me because I'm just now feeling comfortable with working my R and it's components. My thing about the others are availabilty of parts. I could be wrong so take your time and hear what others have to say.

haha, why are you riding a 200X in your avatar then ? The ATC 70 can't even climb a hill with a full size rider at more than 3 miles an hour
