Obviously a very subjective question. If you're like most of us, you'll end up wanting more than one. My main machine is a 250SX, and I simply adore that machine. Like others have said, it has electric start, reverse, and a very cushy ride that makes it a trail riding favorite. I too have a 350SX on my want-list, but riding areas are limited for me with that machine. I really liked what RPM said about the value of a small machine on small acreages. We're on 8 acres, and riding the 250SX or the 200X around the yard is practically useless. You go ZIP-BRAKE-ZIP-BRAKE, spending as much time braking as going. But on a small machine like my ATC90 or my son's ATC70, the yard feels much bigger and we have quite a lot of fun.

My thing about the others are availabilty of parts. I could be wrong so take your time and hear what others have to say.
maybe a 200x would work for you. light and simple.

yeah its something i learned the hard way but im proud that i realized it at my age. you don't always need fast to have fun. i started on my 110, then 1986 trx200sx, yamaha warior all souped up, 400ex all souped up, back to my 110. i could have saved alot....lol
so many kids my age are getting fast cars and trying to make them faster, and yet they bumm about gas, speeding tickets, price of parts, and how the car is not practical in any way.

    You need both

But honestly, once I got my 350X and built 200X, I never rode that turtle of an SX again. They're great machines for all around bouncing along the trails but very limited in suspension and top speed.

    HOW MUCH DO YOU WEIGH??

Someone mentioned a 110. A 110 isn't gonna pull my 210lb arse around very well......

A 350X is an all around machine with the ability to take it slow or nail it and clear allot of jumps. Not the best suspension but far superior to a 110 or 250SX. Hence the reason I'm putting a 250R front end and 450R linkage suspension on my crate motor 350X build. If I have the funds it will see a cam, piston and valve retainers/springs to help me launch a bit more than I do now; I want the four stroke smooth power and the landing of an 250R. I have all the parts otherwise I'd be building a YZF 250 in a 200X chassis with many suspension mods........

250R!!!! loL! i LOVE mine, but then again, i do quite a bit of riding on Tug Hill in northern NY. There are MILES AND MILES of seasonal roads that are almost all open to ATV's. SO, hence my choice....

IMHO, a 2nd gen 200x is one of the best all round machines ever made, bar none. But, i am more into sport/race machines with no intention of using my wheelers for work or hauling anything. It really comes down to personal preference and riding style. There is no universal right or wrong answer to the "whats the best trike" question.

I will say that trying to be unbiased and not involve my personal taste and riding style, the 250sx with its reverse, e-start and low mantainence shaft drive is a very nice overall package for an everyday, out in the back forty trail rider.

I was going to say my 250r, but thinking about it - if I had to keep 1 bike and sell the rest I would keep my 185s.

im gonna say the 185s. great for what i like to do(trail riding) and its really simple to work on too. no back suspension makes it a little "tippy" compared to one with a rear suspension, but for just riding around its a great machine.

when riding something that fast in an area as small as 2-15 acres (around the yard) it gets boring fast. you zip this way then that way and you covered it all. even with friends all you do is blast around racing for 20 mins then its boring.
But on a 110 you can mess around, find a small mud hole and have fun in that alone for 20 mins. get a friend and that mud hole is an all day event.
you can blast around as fast as you can and you still find you haven't covered the yard yet. lol plus if a big red is hurting you just imagine what you will do to yourself on a 350x.

ride a 110 like a race machine all you want, you wont be going too fast. lol

me and all my friends had fast quads (400ex, banshee, yfz450, ltz400, raptor 660r) as we kept racing each other.... then it got boring as we had less and less area to ride (our 100 acre riding area got turned into farm land) so now most of those guys have pit bikes and a xr 80 and i kick it up on the 110 and one other has a 250sx, we have fun all day just messin around each others yards.

so what i learned is slow isnt always bad, right now i have the choice between a yamaha 4-moto 80 and a 200es big red while i finish my 110 and i like the 80 more, much more fun

just my experience, unless you go out on big rides alot, get the slow machine. =P
I agree 100%. Be honist with yourself on what type of riding you will be doing, type of terrain, and with whome. Riding with similarly capable, and powerful machines makes it all much more fun, and generally safer. I enjoy them all, it just depends on my mood and particular riding environment.

I'm going to have to say the 200x would be the best all around. I would would love to have a 350x or 250r but the parts are higher and rarer for either of those. It seems like everything I've owned has ended up being a rare and hard to find parts for. I had an E36 and there was something changed after 3 month of production that made used parts impossible to find. With the 200x, parts are everywhere. Half of all the 3 wheelers ever made had to be 200x's.
With all that being said, the 110 or 125 here on the almost 5 acres I have at the house 10x more fun. My wife probably won't be able to kick start the X and it's not something I want to let the kid start out on. 110 or 125 in low range would be prefect for Dylan to start out on, the wife would ride it and I don't ever remember riding a 3 wheeler I didn't like. I'm convinced, I need a 110 or a 125.

Unless it's a second gen. 200X or an Auto X, I want nothing to do with the 83-85 200X that involves splitting cases merely to kickstart the prick.

As far as parts, they're all expensive and all hard to find now......
