because quads get stuck all over the place in my pasture. Plain and simple

Trikes float by consistently and SOMEtimes pull them out...attitude dependent of course.
    They quit bragging real quick.

hey did anyone see funny home videos tonight.

some idiot on a quad was dragging a marlin or swordfish, did a wheelie and almost stabbed himself

Quads are easy to get and you can make small payments , Most people in general make monthly payments on their new 4 wheeler through their bank or the dealership and not many really pay cash in full. In my view it can be harder to buy a trike than a new 2010 4 wheeler, you can't finance an ATC. Just because you own a trike doesn't mean you are poor, I choose the 3 wheels over 4 .

Four (4) is for the old and lazy, two (2) is for the young and crazy, three is for the real men.
    83' 200x (son's). 85' 200 auto-x & 85' 125m (daughters). 84' Tecate(?). 85' KXT Tecate (mine!, mine!, mine!.)+ some others but don't feel like typing them in.

No trikes. Too old, too crippled. Unless I find one I can't live without!

    Gayest thread ever!

I always see people running there yaps on this subject all the time on here and it is getting old. Just read the description of the quad section or the title by my name, it's like a kick in the pants every day.

Look, I have been riding ATVs since the early 80s and suck with trikes till the early 90s. Why did I stop riding trikes? You can't race a trike in AMA racing, thats all there was to my decision.

I suppose it makes you all feel better bashing quads and I'm sure it will never end on this site but I look at the ones saying this crap as being butt hurt over a non issue
    80s......185 atc, Yamaha tri-moto 200, 85 200x with tons of work
90s......89 Suzuki quad racer 250 (raced 250 A class for 6 years, late 90s.. custom framed 250x with long travel shocks and a built 350x motor.... built Honda 110
00s...... chomeoly framed 350 RX with all the goodies (thanks to my bro)
    2012.....Replaced the 350x motor for a 444cc YZ426

Just having a little fun Swigin, its typically the trike owner that is on the defence. I hear no end to the comments about death machines that should have been dismantled by the government. Doubt any of us actually have anything against quads, just ignorant people.

Swigin-- If I had the money, I would own a 4x4 quad, as well as my trike... Its just a ribbing, nothing personal...

swigin, its a 3 wheeler forum....
this is our only spot where we dont get judged for riding a trike. what do you expect. its all fun and games.
i get teased for liking "rice burner" cars all day long. so if i went to a rice burner forum and had a tease about muscle cars it would be my only opportunity.

Yea, my apologies Swingin, but I have to agree with the others who said that trike owners are usually on the defense, after all we do need to have a collection of answers to the barrage of questions that fly our way... I personally prefer bikes, and as far as atv's I do prefer trikes, mainly because they don’t rut up the trails quite as bad as and they can be a real handful to ride (especially the two strokes) I like having to use your weight as you do on both bikes and quads, you really do have to ride them, yes you have to ride quads as well, but you would have to be a fool not to admit that they are easier to ride (to me that equals less fun)

As for arguments that I’m sick of hearing, it’s the 2 stroke vs 4 stroke argument – I wish everyone would understand that they are two different machines, if they weren’t the AMA pro series wouldn’t force the 250 two strokes to run in the 450 class now would they?

Plenty of trike racing going on now though..Especially within a few hours of your house..So maybe you can store the quad and start racing trikes again.
Just for the record, I aint butthurt..I still have 3 quads that quite frankly I have to make it a point to ride them so they dont dry rot away, started on trikes went to quads and back to trikes.
They are just funner to ride.
It is almost a job to keep the quads fresh.
Here is where my long useless list of stuff nobody cares about should go...

Best I've heard lately is "I wouldn't ride one of those (trikes) because all the people who ride them are fuggen crazy"

Swigin does understand this is a three wheeler board and we bash the quads like the other boards bash trikes?
I have a quad also (well actually two, seems my parts quad can be running for $200 now that I looked into it) And i'll still bash them, it's all good.

I never really get the attitude you're talking about. People are always interested when I show up at places with my R. Most say it's cool. Alot of them say they used to have one back in the day and wish they hadn't sold it. And I get a lot of offers to buy.
