My 250r headlamp dimmed bad at idle after I went to a haligen type bulb, even worse than the stock bulb -which is normal at idle-. I got this square coil that you wire into the electric system, it acts like a capasiter and after a few min it charges and will keep the light bright for a while if you stop riding. I havn't seen them for a while, but thats a solution.
