Thanks for the replys,
I have ohmed out the coil and spark plug wire and and pulse generator they are good, although the 90 degree attached plastic or prestolite spark plug boot does not have any resistance or zero readings, like it has nothing inside I unsrewed it from the wire and checked it and nothing from the digital multimeter. Is there a special resistor inside or is it just shot?
Also I used my OTC digital multimeter to check the dci module following the chart from the manual, the honda repair manual states that a special digital multimeter must be used or I will get false readings. My OTC digital multimeter has ohms /resistance from 2k thru 20m just like any other, will it suffice for this purpose? By the way out of the 6 pins in the dci module half of them showed bad reading according to the chart. I guess its a bad part unless I have the incorrect digital multimeter.
If anyone has info to solve this problem please respond.
Hi, I'm a new 3 wheeler here, can anyone tell me what is causing this condition or have seen this before. I read through pervious posts and not found any similar conditons. I appreciate any help.

This 84 Big red 200es has been in storage for 9 years and in rough condition. I am going through it to see if it going to be salvagable. I shot fresh gas into the cyl and it fired so I cleaned the gas tank out and fueled it up. Two or three pulls and it ran with choke on and idled great throttled up good too. 2 minutes later it quit. Now I have spark only for one pull on the recoil, if i wait 15 seconds it will spark one more time, but continue to pull no spark, changed plug same thing. This is with or without the battery connected.
