Did the 85 ATC110 use a chain tensioner of sorts?

I have an 85 ATC110 that has a really really loose chain. I know it needs to be replaced but I'm just wondering if its supposed to have a chain tensioner of some kind? I went to my local junk yard and bought a tensioner off of an older ATC90 with the shaft but I don't think it works with the newer ones.

    Any ideas?

84/85 110's are tensioned with the rear axle carrier. you loosen the 4 bolts holding it and tighten the 10mm bolt on the tensioner untill the chains tight then u tighten the carrier up...

I knew that part but the axle is already as far back as it can go so obviously I need a new chain, I just didn't know if it had a separate tensioner like the older models.

So the older ones don't have the adjustable slots for the carrier like the 84/85s?
