I'm sure most guys are sick of seeing the same pics of my R, but you asked for it so I'm posting them.
Mine was not built by me, but by 200Xman (Todd). He did a spectacular job with this machine. It runs flawlessly and goes like a raped-ape. I don't know what condition it was in when he started but here are the mods I can think of off the top of my head-
Hondaline 300cc big bore kit
Full Kerker exhaust
Pro-Tec boost bottle and intake
pod type air filter
Westcoast swingarm
Durablue axle
bigger carb (34mm?) from an 85 R (first-gen R's had a puny 27mm carb I believe)
Works shock
Dirt Works front fender
There may be more done to it, Todd would know better than me. I think the most common and best mods would have to be the carb and pipe. I would do those two first, especially if you happen to come across a machine that still has the original first-gen carb on it.

Just got mine last night. It has a full DG pipe on it now. It also came with a bills expansion chamber. I just ordered a head light tonight.

30mm Keihin carb
custom front wheel spacer to allow the use of a 10x5 douglas front wheel
Custom short track axle on rear 1 1/2 inch offset
Here is a pic of the last minute trip to the dunes on it.. the old roomates kid busted the front fender off right before we went out notice the flattrack tire still on the front this bike got deemed A.. $$ CRUSHER by some fellow riders due to the lack of rear suspension it was still set up for the oval... but i rode the crap out of it out there even surprised some of the other riders

Im currently in the middle of fabrication and a complete ground up restore of the bike deemed (CRUSHER) working on fitting a swinger and complete rear from a 2005 trx 450r it should be done in less than a week
Ill run it with the swinger and rear for this years ice racing season... Then time for the total frame off i have most of the parts collected jusn waiting for racing to be over

and the 10in wheel on the front with a 22x8x10 front max
frame powdercoated back to origional red
cherry tank with year correct decacls
new seat and pan

Aftermarket exaust (still undecided on brand)

mine when i got it and almost done pic. I got a seat and rear fenders for it now i just gotta put them on and some carb work
Its the Atc motor with counterbalancer. This 82 is a complete former 360 racer exept the topend is missing. When i got her she had a stock topend on and ran decent but dident rev out at all and had bad vibrations, because the bottomend were 360 modified(bored out cases for the bigger sleeve, 4 big balance holes in the crank for the 83,5mm piston and retarded ignition). I now have a Hondaline 300r 77mm bore Trx330 piston modded and ported by Flotek on her, and now the vibes aint noticeble anymore and she revs to the mon. I am looking for a 360 topend for a decent price but ist hard to find. It have Mugen front fork springs and Mugen rearshock ,Mugen vented airboxlid, 360 pipe and exhaustflange, Honda emblem on cases machined of for the Mugen stickers, upgraded(bigger) tankbolts for the 360 headstaybrackets, Mugen clutch springs and even the Gunnar Gasser twist throttle from the 360 stage II kit is still on her. Other rare parts are Calfab +3 swinger, Durablue +4 axle, Dico 8x6inch wide frontrim have the matching rears also, oldschool heelguards. Thanx!
