i have a 185s with a snorkel and axle paddles. i also made an eight tooth front sprocket. i put a 200 rear on it to go with a bigger sprocket. i couldnt find a twelve inch rim for the front, so i took a yamaha big bear rim and cut the center out and made another center for it. i am running 27 inch vampire all the way around. i have friends with the big four wheeler but they can't out do my little red devil. these pic don't show the lift i did. i got three more inches by adding plate between the frame and the axle mounts

how did you go about making the 8 tooth sprocket? Thats sweet! The smallest one ive been able to find was a 10 and the plate that bolts it in place gets chewed up by tha chain its so close. but i see you have a snap ring on yours. neat mods.

i used a stock sprocket and cut it down with a grinder. not the prettiest thing but it worked. i used to of the stock keepers as shims on the back of the sprocket to keep it from digging into the case. had to grind them down also. the snap ring on the sprocket was a lucky fit. it just the right size that when the chain is on the snap ring will not come off. as to, when i knew to stop grinding, i made a templet outt of paper. i just traced it onto the stock sprocket. i suggest useing a old chain to allow for the sprocket to wear in because will not be perfect. the old chain will wear it in though.

no problem. maybe you can return the favor. you wouldn,t happen to know which cam is better for low end. the 200x or the xr200. also what size valves are in the best head, or casting number of the best head. i would like to do a port and polish for my bike but i want to start with the best head possible

well from what i gather the heads on the 185s/200/200x are the same the best mods would be a higher compression piston prolly around 10:1 any thing higher and you have to run higher octane, harder to start, and you auto clutch might not take the extra power and the knarly tires you got on that beast. A 200xr cam will give you alittle upgrade in power but its in the higher rpm range idk if it would take low end power away though. Maybe some of the experts on here will chime in and give you some pointers ive missed or gotten wrong.

believe or not it is pretty close to stock gearing with the big tires. top speed is the same as a stock 250 honda recon. i was thinking, although that isn't a good thing, if i get more power i might be able to put 28 inch silverbacks on it. being that i have some lying around for a four wheeler i blew up. he he. copiah creek hole #27.
