ya 86 200X decompressor cable is there, and i measured the free play to spec in the service manual and its good there.
I think it's just the nature of an engine that has high compression. My old 1984 cr500 used to kill me. I've grown used to it over the years(although it always hurts)lol.
i thought it was normal, i just wanted to make sure it wasnt an indication of a problem somewhere
normal on occasion, thats why moto boots go up your shin.my 350x used to kill me and the 200x gets me sometimes when im not paying attention or wearing sneakers

cool thanks guys and yeah its only an occasional shinner, so just to be clear its a good thing then, i mean high compression, not the lumpy shin
could be timing as well. I had the points misadjusted on my Yamaha 500 and it threw me off. I have gotten the violent kick on my and newrider's 250Rs but thats totally different. Hurts bad.

Recoil starters are notirious for jerking back, but high compression is your answer.
This is my trike. There are many like it but this one is mine. My trike is my best friend, and it is my life. I must master it as I must master myself. My trike without me is useless. Without my trike, I am useless. I must ride my trike true. My trike and I know that what counts is not the amount of miles we ride, but the time we ride together. My trike is human in it's own ways, therefore I will learn it as my brother. I will learn it's weaknesses, it's strengths, it's parts, and it's soul.
