She's a keeper! Well my phone is already ringing, but WHAT EVER! They all had a crack at 50K. I'm actually happy. Yes, my wife is bummed, but now she too knows we have a good investment. I think I'm going to take a few days to ponder before entertaining any off ebay offers. The worst way this could have gone in my eyes was to have just made reserve and that's it. I now appreciate even more what I have. Granted I'd been happy to get a financial bailout so to speak, but it just wasn't meant to be. I can pull the nose up on this deal, just need you all to help me.... Please don't sell anything to me anymore! Block my ebay name on all your accounts! LOL HA Ha ha!
    No more purchases!

It's definitely better than Gold, Andy. As far as we know, it's a One-Off. I figured its value way above 50K anyway. Keep it in the plywood box and look at it every 5 years or so.... LOL

    I doubt Gold Investment Story!

As a buyer and seller of Gold and Silver myself I can honestly say I really doubt this bidder chose Gold over this investment. Look at what you paid and where it went and the time frame involved. Gold is at an all time record breaking high! $1352.77 an ounce right now!!! That is no time to buy, that is time to sell! Gold jumped approx. 100.00 in the last 30 days, I hope it does go higher but I wouldn't buy at this current trend. At least Andy this gives you a pretty good idea that you did very well on your investment! Hope all turns out well for you and your family. Bidders have been blocked on my eBay account!

Not how i thought it would of panned out, i really thought it would hit 60k plus.
I wouldnt be too bummed, atleast you know you can double your money on it if you absolutely had to sell it, the longer it sits in your garage, the more it will be worth in the future.

i was afraid of ebay bidders, but I have a feeling you will get a really decent offer off Ebay. An offer too good to refuse from your original investment

Thanks guys. Off ebay offers will have to be as you said YZ "too good to refuse", after all this craziness. They all had their fare chance at it.

Boy, this thing really $n!+ the bed at the end..........
Just to clear up any confusion here's how things spiraled down. The bidder at $50,075. pulled his bids by his own retraction yesterday. This left the underlying bidder at $49,975. the exposed new high bidder, and the only bidder left to have made a bid that broke the reserve threshold. He messaged me through ebay and my email today saying after he was outbid at just under 50K he gave up and moved on. He and is brother have supposedly invested in gold (OK???). I told him I wasn't going to remove his bids. After some thought I figured trying to get my final value fees recouped from ebay might be an uphill battle if he was left as the final bidder, and we didn't complete the sale. I think that would've been about $1650.00 (@3.3%). Please correct me if I'm wrong. So I at 20min. left decided to cancel his bids to play it safe. Anyway, regardless of his excuse, if he doesn't want it, I want it. I'm not THAT hungry for money that I'm going to force him or sue to get the cash. I think we all want to see this bike in friendly hands and not immediately pawned yet again. I do wish ebay would overhaul their bid retraction poilicy, though. I really though it would've spiked a few bids at the very last minute. This hole thing had many hard decisions, but in the end I am thrilled to still be the owner.
I'll get off my soapbox now and take a breath.

I think If you can make do with out the money u invested and hold onto it for another 10 years, try again.. You will make some bank on it. Side note, I and friends have really enjoyed this auction and discussing outcome and how crazy it all is, 1 friend of mine said his dad and brother bought some new and had them in crates but off course the were taken out to get used, kinda funny thoe if they woulda known.

Man I have to say that was a disappointing and anticlimatic ending!!!! Glad you still have it Andy but I'm sure offers will roll in. That is one machine someone will "just have to have" .....just apparently not the two guys that got cold feet.

Other smaller or lesser known companies, such as Tiger ATV, Franks, and Cagiva, produced racing three wheelers, but in much smaller numbers. Few of these machines are known to exist today and are highly sought by collectors.

All the bidder has to do is cry to EBAY, the bid and Andys fees would remain yet the bidder would back out of the "Ebay" contract. Ebay just wants their money.......

Better yet he could pay the fees and a lawyer to handle this but I've seen it in business and loans; the man would claim "I can only pay 10$ a month......"

It was better to cut him loose at his request than sweat out the next few days/emails etc; IMHO
