Lot of money involved, cool item..but if I had the cash in hand, I wouldn't buy it.

I know alot of other people would, but dam I could do a hell lot more with $35k then 1 thing...that's just me though.

Sweet thread though, and to the guy who has it listed, GOODLUCK WITH EVERYTHING!

Those are nice. But the one does not even have a chain on it?
For 85K you would think he would have more pics up. I dont think he really cares if he sells them.

I dont see those bringing even half that amount.

And a question for the R gurus..I thought ONLY the 89 had a key switch..Did the 88 have that too?
Here is where my long useless list of stuff nobody cares about should go...

    ATC History Being Made

I think without a doubt ATC history with this auction will be the talk of collectors, riders, etc. for years to come! Very interesting Auction. Also bet it will increase the interest in the hobby. I wish you well with this auction, glad to be able to see the photos etc.!!!

there is a problem when a quad with less technology cost's 8 times as much as a new quad. The trike I could understand, but it is still ridiculous when 25 years ago these where 3-5 grand and with the trx250r being the all time atv(was the quad of choice from 1986 to 2003-5) and as many of them that sold I highly doubt that they are that rare yet. Maybe in new condition but not rare as a whole.

If the bikes are what they say they are, they will bring 10k a piece easy but not 85k for both. He really is dreaming! It seems fishy because he didnt post hardly anything in the description or on there history or how he came about having them. And only 4 pics?! WTF

Even when the market was HOT , i couldn't presell them for $12000 to try and make a few bucks. The guy used to own a Honda dealership and loved the trx's.

85 Thousand?????? !!! I almost choked to death reading that. Some people are really getting nuts with this stuff. If he thinks they are THAT special, maybe he should see about putting them on Barrett Jackson. LOL

Rob, the 87 TRX was the first to have a key to my knowledge. I had a beautiful all original 87 years ago. I hope this atc does get into the record books for sold value. You can be sure it will be kept in a time capsule forever for this kind of money. I wish you the best of luck in the sale, and keep us informed a bit on the purchaser, unless of course they choose to remain anonymous.
