Under $20,000
Between $20k and $35K
Between $35k and $50k
Between $50 and $100k
Over $100,000
so apparently the reserve is in the neighborhood of $75k
After reading some of the Q & A, I must applaud your patience Andy. I can say with the utmost confidence that my answers to these people would not be half as kind or thought-out as yours. I have no idea how you do it, but bravo my friend. Good luck with the auction.

Thanks for the props guys! I really apreciate the support!
The reserve is much less than 75K. The bidding is currently in the same decade. Hows that! I'm starting to crack............
I had it at 75K to start only to allow time and room to think things over. The new reserve will not be lowered. If it's not met, I'll keep the bike or sell it "off" ebay to someone for substantially more than what I am willing to let it go for on ebay. I don't know if the big players read posts here, but THEY SHOULD! Hope this drives a little more attention & traffic to this great site! Thanks to Billy, Mike @ VM and all the other kind administrators & members here! That all said, PLEASE still do not shill bid to "help this auction !!!!! Lets let nature take it's course.
I have incurred a great deal of debt in acquiring this crated R. I just had my third child, and as you may guess I feel guilty squandering away my family's future each time I look into my children's eyes. My wife has been a real trooper, but I need to see the big picture and not be too selfish. The sale of this trike will honestly go to paying off a lot of credit card debt and home equity credit. Those whom I've bought from know my spending gets the better of me at times! (LOL) Crap.... It still does. I put $777.77 on that CAL Fab the other night. Shame on me, need some serious help!
As for the '88 &'89 TRXs that have sprung up......
I have bought 2 Rs from Scott Jolicoeur (Lapeer, MI) aka "sajcorvette". He was one of the first to tell me I was out of my mind to pay 25K for the crated R. (now I'm really cracking!) Anyway... So now he is all hot and bothered and is following my lead. He claims to now have 10 new in the crate Banshees. Hmmm... Now that's an original idea. I wish him all the best with the Banshees.
Now after seeing all my fan fair on ebay he is flashing his jewelry to the world. Again, more power to him. The only issues I have are... One, someone's kind of ridding my coattails (bla bla..big deal) and two, he's misrepresenting what he has. I guess I should be flattered to have inspired him, but he should come clean on the details of these two TRX 250Rs.
The below statements are my true and honest beliefs, but are also my personal OPINIONS. I should be the bigger person here and take the high road, but I can't stand fibbers!
Two years ago I drove 8hrs one way to buy 2 TRX 250Rs from Scott (an'87 & an'89). Two close friends wanted to SEE the claimed "new" '88 &'89 250Rs, so they tagged along for the 16 hr ride. I was on a real drag that day coming off a 10hr shift driving the UPS semi all night. I picked up my two tag along buddies at 3:30am and drove straight all day to Lapeer,MI. My tag alongs were suppose to help drive, but instead got a case of beer at a truck stop when I got fuel. (great guys..huh??). We arrived early afternoon, and BS'ed with Scott for awhile, after inspecting & loading the TRXs I bought. Before we left I said we needed to see the "new" Rs or we would have to jump him. (just kidding of coarse). He grinned, and took us down to his basement. There they were in all their glory. We all were impressed to say the least, but as a builder I new right away they were not "new", bought from a dealer as he claimed. They are in my opinion very very nice "builds". Built during the years when a person could get ALMOST every part NEW still from a dealer. Scott has good connections with a dealership in MI from what he told me. I say ALMOST every part because he left tale tell signs of used parts on the bikes upon close inspection. For instance, the rear brake master cylinder on the '88 was worn from boot heel rubs and had signs of powder coating on certain parts. All very very NICE mind you, but not truly Honda factory new. The '89 had a seat with the stenciling worn slightly form what again he couldn't explain. If you notice from his posted pictures, the tires have stickers on them. Hmmm, I've bought a couple new ATVs before, but neither had stickered rubber. Those are part # foil stickers. Again top notch build job, but not assembled at the factory. He will say most likely that he replaced the tires due to old dry cracking. I can tell you first hand, the crated ATC 250R that I have has no dry cracking on the tires, even after 25years.... And this is no lie... He even went as far as to tell me and my two drunk friends that this particular '89 was the very last ever produced TRX250R to come off the assembly line at Honda. I know now you all are just thinking I'm being a jealous little girl, but I'm telling you the absolute truth. I just want people to know... Less anyone think these two Rs are brand spank'n new from Honda without ever having gas run in them. Not in my opinion. They are bar none the NICEST set of '88 & '89 TRX 250Rs I've ever laid eyes on, but were built with every part available from Honda at that time, with no expense spared. I suppose after spending a great deal of effort & $$ to build the machine of everyone's dreams it would be very tempting to call them new when 98% of the parts used in the builds were NOS. Just my .02 cents. Beware, he is a true salesman!
Incidentally, I found a couple hidden "fixes" and flaws on the two TRXs I bought that day, but they were good enough for restoration purposes. To Scott's credit, I brought my discovered issues with the bikes to his attention and he maid good on both accounts. I thought good of that , but wished my detective work hadn't pressured him into honesty. I could see the "Oh, $n!+" look in his eyes when confronted.
Sorry to be so long winded here. I hope I'm not coming off as a real douche bag. I guess I just needed to vent. Please someone buy those two R's so he will have bragging rights for eternity! After all, he is self proclaimed "the250Rgod" . The ego is too funny!
I also mentioned in an earlier post that a "little bird" had fessed to me that the Z50 auctions were a bit fixed. Scott sings like a canary! (LOL)
Scott, if you or your friends (helpers) read this I'm sorry to spill the beans. Just can't deal with the charades.
The End
Wow. Interesting story to say the least.
All of that aside, I'm just going to say that I can't see a TRX getting near that money. They just don't have the nostalgia that an ATC does in my opinion. Again, that's just my opinion. Maybe there are some die-hard TRX guys out there that would disagree with me.

Andy^^^ I wont quote you becuase it is just too much.
I KNEW the TRX's were not what he was stating.
I rember him rounding up parts for those and assembling them a few years ago.
They are "restorations" Not NEW NEVER RIDDEN.
I just didnt want to be the guy to spill the beans..lol

Yes, I'll be burning a bridge over these last posts, but that's fine. I don't want any affiliation with their poor business practices.
Once you get a bad reputation in a small community it's extremely hard to win people's respect and trust again.
Thanks!
Wow thanks for the backstory on those TRX's, I think I am just as excited as you too see where this auction goes! I was always curious what you paid too! I was hoping it was like $5,000 cause that would just be the ultimate right haha? I really hope you get the 75k you were originally hoping for, this is so cool and I hope people don't bid just to bid or back out.

I'd figure for 85k on those quads you would get atleast free shiping. Cheapazz. haha j/k
I'd have very little emotion to such a toy with this kind of possible money on the line.
In 3 days 00 hrs you may or may not be the cool guy with the crated 250r. If it sells you will be just a plain old trike guy again, but who can sleep at night and has a really good story. That's still pretty cool.
Great stuff Andy, I truly HATE anyone who claims NOS and it ends up being restored. Some restorations like yourself and Vintage Mike do along with many custom builds are fantastic; But to the collector, nothing but NOTHING is worth a trike in it's original crate and untouched. Imagine that as the centerpiece in someone's collection!!??
Untouched, unassembled and nothing newer in sight. There may be a few more, most of us are just ordinary hard working guys; We don't have the cash to shave a 25K machine in a corner but others can. Many entrepreneurs have the cash to do that, but not your typical 3WW member.
I hope you double your money or more and whoever sold it for what I "think" you paid for it, sold himself a bit short. But 1000$ and 10,000$ to different people are the same thing; We all live differently!
Good luck Andy!!
All our government does is distract us while they steal from us, misspend our tax $ and ruin our country
