    BB,

I don't personally know you, but I do feel bad for you that you had to deal with all the morons during this process. It is obvious you have a very unique, sought after item, and clearly some people can't seem to handle it. I am glad you have kept a sense of humor through this all, and wish you the best of luck with what ever you do with it. When I hit the powerball tomorrow night, I will be driving up to pick it up with 100,000 in my hand for you. Keep your fingers crossed I hit the powerball! LOL!

Good thing you kept it. Save it for another 20 years, then relist it when ebays bid retraction system isn't all jacked up.

Those bikes are extremely nice, but are in no way actually straight from the dealer new. Unless you consider an entire bike bought through a close family dealership's parts department in the 90's, then assembled at someone's home, to be the last ever produced "NEW" TRX 250R ever built. That's what he has there. I've seen them in person too. New bikes come with chains and don't come with stickered tires, worn paint, and scuffed seats. They were built by the best bull $h!t artist on the planet with no expense spared. BUT, they are simply awesome builds, with a false story. The supposed paper work I saw at Scott's was something anyone with a lot of time on their hands could print up, kinda similar to the reprinted brochures and decals available on ebay today. You know how good some of these reproductions are being made now'a days (very hard to distinguish) Well, official looking Honda letters can be made as well. The tech that assembled the R's is Scott, and he fabed the Honda memos too! Scott can weave a tall tale. Don't feel bad, they look real good, but you can trip Scott up if your on your game. Believe me this is not jeliousy comming out , but just the truth as I believe it to be. He has the nicest and closest to being NOS '88 &'89 TRX 250Rs I've EVER seen!
During this auction an ebay member has messaged me twice in regards to sending pictures of his claimed '89 TRX 250R in the crate. Hope to see it some day! But till then Scott's two are my favorites! Just wish he was more honest.
While I am overwhelmed with family these days.... I must confess to collecting these for absolutely NOTHING!! But the Love I have for the days when my Dad,Brother and I would go to the dealers and pick out our HARD earned prizes. We sweat blood for what we have and I have an eye that astounds most.. ONE glance at those bikes,,,B O T H OF THEM . They WERE NOT assembled at the Factory,,,or the crates were dropped in water and Quickly dried out. Anyhow,i've seen Andy's story about this ,and absolutely BELIEVE EVERY word that's came out of his mouth. SO if you've seen them in person Donzi..... I'm trying to remain respectful here,,but for you to come on here and try and tell me their legit,,,when I can spot them a MILE away,,With those pi$$ pour pics..... You must not have looked to closely. Were the shockwears factory,or does he just like the looks of them covering the beautiful bright red springs and shiny virgin chrome?... Give me a break!

All of these chains are endless, not to say that the dealers didn't have to do them. But I am 99.99% sure they were on from Honda.. Completely pointless anyhow.. Anyone that has been around these, takes ONE glance at those machines ,,KNOWS they are NOT new!! Period. Very nice and def worth somewhere in the $10000 range for the pair. Or maybe I"M wrong and my 87 ATC's are worth hundreds of thousands!! I have stickers from new Hondas I can hang on the bars!! Takes ALL kinds.
I have the set up manual for the 88 and 89 TRX250R ( i worked at a Dealer for 6 years)and it came with a chain on the bike, I can scan pics if needed

alot of the bikes came with endless chains, but the TRX250r may not have, they are showing a masterlink on the parts diagram.

I am not saying that they are legit, I was never in to 4 wheelers at all when I was younger and don't really know what they looked like from the factory but Andy does make a good point about the stickers on the tires, no factory bike has those that I am aware of. I have always loved the 85 & 86 Honda 250R's, that is my passsion. I have had them and I also remember going to the dealership and wishing I could have one of those new shiny machines but I always had to buy a used one because I couldn't afford a new one. I am grateful that I can now afford new bikes but unfortunetly they don't make ATC's anymore and I don't want to fork out $50K for an awesome piece of history. I was told the story by Scott so I am not on here to say they are real just going by what I have seen and what I was told. The bottom line is it really doesn't matter because he will never get the money he is asking in my eyes unless the sheek comes along

This is rather embarrassing, but kinda cool. A guy messaged me from ebay yesterday with this link of a video he made.
My 1st You tube video. (LOL) Flattered, but embarrassed. Kinda like hearing your own voice recorded. "Is that me???" OMG!
