go to tug hill, lewis county, there are tons of trials. There are entire trail systems in NY, might as well get out and enjoy some of the fruit of your tax dollars, before the state takes them away and continues to tax us into oblivion...

All us NY guys should get together this April for the annual SNIRT run up on Tug Hill. It looks like a blast, and would be cool to have a pack of three wheelers in the mix..

yeah for ATV's in NY you have to be tagged, insured, and registerd. Just like a car. Sherrifs, game wardens, police. Basically any authority troopers, can stop you and ask for proof of insurance and run your tags. NY sucks the big one they got to get their money from you. Insurance for one of mine is like 45 bucks a year. But they set up road blocks on trail systems and all sorts of crap. If you are on private property you really dont have to worry about it. That goes for snowsleds, atv's, dirt bikes, probably go carts. The sherrif runs road blocks, checking for drunk drivers and crap, it is stupid overboard in NY. You cant do anything without some sort of registration, tax, class, permit, etc...I think if you get caught without insurance they can take your rig, probably suspend your liscense, fines, court costs, the whole thing.
