    1985/86 ATC250R Owner LOOK HERE!

If you've had to rebuild your forks and needed to replace the lower fork bushing, you know they are unavailable. You probably also know that the 86 Tri-Z bushing are back ordered (fancy way of saying discontinued).

Well, after much searching around, I found that Harley use a 39mm Showa as well. Their fiche shows it as unavailable as well. Drag Specialties offers replacements and put in a OEM part number in the "fine print"... I called the local Harley dealer and voila! Part No. (removed) for all of $8 ea!!!!

EDIT: Turns out the Harley bushings are slightly thinner. CB650, CX650, some shadows and GLs use 39mm forks too. Searched the fiches and found a Honda part that fits: 51415-463-003

    Thats great info there!

Over the years we'll have to find things that cross or make them; Or, build a trike out of a newer bike or quad.............

Edit, did you measure and cross the top? Lots or time the coating is worn of them. If there still available, they won't be for long!

Upper bushings are still available. Dealer said "they have a load" at the warehouse... so I ordered 4! They're cheap too.

    Part No. 51414-463-003

Also, Lower bushing from Yamaha: 3MA-23135-10-00 ( Superceeds 1RX-23135-00-00 )

Bringing this back to the top - I'm a bit confused as to what is available:

Sounds like PN 51415-463-003 is for the CBX lower bushing and 51414-463-003 is for the 250R upper bushing? Just trying to find part numbers for both bushings as I'll be rebuilding the forks soon.

Bringing this back to the top to confirm again that the CBX bushing (51415-463-003) is the exact same thing that I pulled out of my forks last night. Thanks for finding this information BGP.

The upper bushing goes in the tube and gets pulled out when you remove the clip/seal/washer etc. and yank it apart.

The lower bushing is on the chrome tube; Thats the one he found a solution for.
