    rust PLEASSEE HELP!!!

    hey i got rust ALL OVER the inside of my gas tank (110cc atc) and i need to get it out or at least alot of it so it doesnt run threw the motor please and thank you

    Remove your tank and dump out the old gas. Remove the petcock and strainer. Re-install the petcock without the strainer. There is a product made by POR-15 (Marine Clean) the should be poured in. Put in a handfull of rocks, drywall screws etc and shake the s#@t out of it. Repeat if neccessary. Good luck and let us know how it turns out.

    Even after you get the rust out i would run an inline feul filter.I have one on all of my machines.

    And even AFTER that, rust will still flake off. Time to KREME it.

    I don’t mean to hijack this thread but what kind of inline fuel filters do you guys use? Anything special, or just off the shelf

    Here is a link for anyone interested in several ways to remove rust in a tank.

    If you attempt this after the vinigar & salt worked it;s magic flush out the tank with a hose to help remove the rust. Then get as much of the water out as you can. You need to coat the tank asap or it will rust up again so i used WD40 temporaily cause i wasn't using the tank at that moment.

    i have heard alot of bad about kreme. I have been told to use por 15 or red kote.
