video of the 1982 250r with lectron ride today

Let me tell ya, with the new carb it's like night and day. The bike is so responsive and actually scares me a little. Like riding a different bike all together. Anyway sorry I'm not the frame very much. Thought I'd post this up. Things are really coming together with this bike. Still trying to get use to the power difference.

Awesome! Geeeez...would like to get my hands on a good old air-cooled 250R. Great stuff! Can't wait to see what you do next.

Ya I hear ya. I love the old air cooled too. The 85 liquid r will be out next weekend so we'll see how much difference there is.

I'm prospecting on a liquid cooled right now...There are 2 of them local that the guys both just "want out of their garage"...if price reflects that, I may be a proud father again soon, lol...

Sounds great man, nice and crisp! It seems to have WAY more power with your setup from what I can see in the vid compared to the couple 81-82 R's I have ridden around here (bone stock) Good luck, and keep up the old school cool 250R.

Sorry for the dumb question but what makes the lectron better? Is it just a bigger carb?

Iprefer3- O.k., now I really am enraged with jealousy, just couldn't leave it alone could you? (lol!) Is this trike moving to the top of favorites for you?, even looks tight in the handling department.
    83' 200x (son's). 85' 200 auto-x & 85' 125m (daughters). 84' Tecate(?). 85' KXT Tecate (mine!, mine!, mine!.)+ some others but don't feel like typing them in.

I'll tell ya what fellas. I could spend all day in the seat of this trike. And yes it has moved to the top of the list as far as my favorite. I'm not trying to you jealous hang&rattle. But I do feel kind of guilty ripping on such a clean trike. But hey there's nothing that can't be re-painted or replaced. Right???
