    riding in winter

    i was wondering what i have to do to ride my 1983 honda atc 250r in winter, rejet?, make it richer? what?..... please respond

    Yes sir, you do have to fatten it up. I think one or two sizes would be acceptable, but some more guys will probably chime in and tell you what they think.

    Seems to me old air-cooled 2 strokes are quite as picky about jetting between summer/winter...have had a few that i never had to change and ran just fine,,i would run it on what ever day your riding on...check the plug and have a few main jets on hand, Incase its a little lean and stay away from open water on the jugs...seen them crack before going from running warm to freezing cold pond water otherwise leter buck!
