    1985 350X Frame swap Questions

    Hey guys i am currently awaiting my frame from the powder coat shop. What i wanted to know is are there any differences in the 85 and 86 frames i have a complete 85 350X that i am swapping to the 86 frame. i have gusseted the new frame also. any info would be a great help

    The left side has a wrap added around the frame, where they usually crack. I think that is the only frame difference, the rest were black triples, clutch lever direction, fender color, etc

    The 86 frame uses larger motor mount bolts than the 85. You'll need the 86 bolts and drill out your mounting plates.

    the clutch cable is ran on the left side and not through the exhaust on an 86 frame
