    1984 250r rear brakes . . .

How do you get the rear brake caliper off the bike ? I want to change the rear brake pads and i can't seem to get the caliper off ? ? ? I have changed pads on my 4 wheelers but this is nothing i have seen before.

just 2 bolts and it comes right off.
If trikes are so dangerous how could I possibly still be riding them after 12 years?

You have the "ATC250r_81-84_servicemanual.pdf" right? If not, download it - it's linked on this site.

After you get that manual, go to page 200 (that actual PDF page, not the page # listed on the bottom of each page). You need to look at th '82 Addendum section, because that's when the 250r's first went to disc brakes in the rear.

You can remove it by the bracket

If it won't come off the bracket, the slide pins are seized up.....
