I have to point out how talented this friggin kid really is. I did guide him somewhat, but a good 80% of what you see was done by Dan all by himself. I wasn't even there when he put the bottom end together, and he's never done it before!

It's not that my bike is slower than his, his just runs better. That silencer sounds really, really nice and his jetting is spot on. I knew my jetting needed a little work, but his just made me realize how off mine is. Riding his up and down the road it felt like a brand new Tecate, and that's essentially what he has there, but even better.

My hat goes off to this kid for both the speed in which he got it done and how thorough his build was!

Oh, shock report (?), let us know the differences between the two (fabiodriven and TecateDans). Also the front tire performance report (lol), how's that handle?, sure looks nice (what is it?). Tail pipe mount, come with silencer? You make me proud I own one, way to build it, thanks.

We both have the same shock now Hang, the 300EX shock. It feels a bit stiff initially, but the real test will be when the snow is gone. It's impossible to tell how it performs with snow on the ground.

The silencer mount did come with the silencer. We had to do some tweaking with the exhaust. For some reason the Bassani pipe didn't line up the way it should so we ended up cutting the stinger right off and essentially rebuilt the entire exhaust to our own specs. I'm not sure what the application is for that silencer though. The mount it came with was very nice, but FMF only supplied Dan with a crummy hardware store hose clamp for securing the silencer to the pipe. I was very, very disappointed when Dan showed me what they had given him. Shame on FMF for sending that hokey little clamp. Thankfully Dan saved his factory muffler-to-pipe clamp that was of much better quality, so we cleaned that up and put it on there.
