    Unusual oil leak

I recently built the engine for my 200x, and now it has darkened color under the head as if it has been leaking oil. However, it does not smoke EVER and runs perfect. Any ideas? It's only on the side's not the front.
I myself ensured the top of the cylinder, and the bottom of the head was extremely clean, smoth, and without gouges. The same with the gasket.
I pulled the tank and realized the rear cap was leaking oil, so i put a new seal on it. Is it possible the oil traveled down from up there?
Also, it has never had any oil disappear from the engine.

    Here is a pic.
    thanks

I guess you used a new gasket?, did you replace the o-ring on the right rear stud? Thats where it travels up to the cam and rockers, the gasket doesn't seal the oil there, you need the o-ring.

It could be leaking out the side but not affect compression etc. Did you tighten the head down in 3 steps on each bolt, criss/cross??

I used a new oem gasket kit, replaced the o ring, and tightened them in the order the manual showed. Torqued to spec. It also is like that on the left side, a little worse actually.
I guess i need to pull the head and inspect it for error.

Since i just put that new seal on the cap, i'm going to see if this affects the disscoloration.
