1984 200es no spark

ok so ive tried 3 wiring harnesses 2 coils but i havent changed out this thing what is it?







ive replaced everything but this with others and i cant get spark.

It is called the CDI. They are not cheap. Try to borrow a known good one, to test, if you can.

Wire brush the frame where the coil touches it and that spot on the coil. Sometimes rust or corrosion causes a break in the electrical connection.

im a step ahead of u but i tried a good one and still have no spark theres a little gold thing that sits at the back of the frame that is connected to the wiring harness
