Those are going to be some interesting blue fenders. Did that come from a blue plastic barrel?

fabrication of fenders is done! , might dress them up a bit here and there. Quite a franken fender i know, but hey its a rat rodd lol. got a bunch of stuff cleaned up this weekend, not nearly as much as i wanted, but double christmas party weekend, not much time for the toys. I welded up the exhaust at work, not the best, but i'm learning as i go. We got a little 120v lincln mig in the maint. shop, and since i work alone i can tinker with my stuff while i'm there. Its been fun just kinda fartin around with it and trying to learn how to use it. i salvaged the sprk arrestor and welded it from the back side to this donut shape piece of metal i cut out, then welded it back to the can, big patch on the bottom too. solid as a rock now, awaiting some paint. Home made air filter. gonna have to buy an oil filter, and some brake pads for this one thats about it. i have some marine viynl for the seat already, and Killer donated some foam for repair of the existing foam. will post picks as i get things done, so if your interested check back.

should i krylon the fenders red, or leave them, i'm leaning tward leaving them, as i know the paint never seems to stick well to the plastic so they say. I can paint some other things blue to tie in the barrel fenders, or just rock it as is. let me know your thoughts.

Maybe you should paint the rear racks white and have a red, white, blue bike going. I would paint them, and continue to touch them up as needed.

krylon makes a spray paint that bonds to plastic it holds fairly good but you want to let it set for a day or two

I would leave the fenders, pealing paint on plastic looks like your trying to hide it. Just rock the blue barrel fenders. Either way I like the way they turned out. Looks like your handle bars came with the same factory bend as mine.

If you do try to paint them... Use a spray can adhesion promoter... Like bulldog or something similar... Cant be found at 99% of auto parts stores...

still waitin to put this back together, now that the holidays are over i should have more time. All i need is about 2-3 hrs and its a go. amazing its so hard to find a few spare hrs. perfect now though as it has been around 40 deg for the last few days so its not too cold in the garage.
