New Use for Tri-z T-Stat Cooler

Well I pick up one of the thermostat removers in the sale that going on ( I guess Billy still has it going on) but decided not to use it that way after all. Instead I install a new thermostat because I want to make sure the engine stay at a minimum heat range for better performance but I want to keep a better check on the temperature besides just using the red light. I already had a manual temperature gauge and so I decided to modify the t-stat to use it with the gauge.

So I used a tap and threaded one part of the t-stat and inserted the adapter.

Then added the gauge and checked for clearance.

Now all I have to do is install the unit.

I am going to install in next to the water pump as soon as I can pick up a piece of hose so I don't have to ruin an oem hose.
Of course I could just buy a cooler with a built in gauge but I already had the gauge.
Going to put this on the racer so I can keep a better check on the temp. The milled head will run the temp. up fairly quickly.
