Kustom Kraft is the only place my shop sends it's cylinders out to. Marvin is a stand up guy and the best in the biz when it comes to cylinders. He usually doesn't port cylinders though, he'll match ports when he does a resleeve though and it will be right on. He's also great for tracking down hard to find pistons or figuring out what piston can be used as an alternative. I've been dealing with him for years and have never had him let me down.

the only problem i had with kustom kraft after they did a resleeve the cylinder on my 89 250r wouldnt bolt down i couldnt figure out why loren duncan looked at the motor at a national race the corners of the sleeve had to be ground at a angle to clear the center cases.also the sleeve they installed it was thicker than orignal so when i wanted to port it no one wanted to do it said it was thick and wouldnt dissipate heat well and would seize easier.i sold the bike the owner sent it to legacy atv(no longer in business)ported it ran 32-1 mix it seized.withinless than 20 hrs if my memory is correct

Kustom Kraft did excellent work on a plated 270 kit for a CR250 my friend had.. i cant say anything about their porting cuz he didnt have any done, but they did a nice job on everything they were supposed to do. I parted out a cr125 that had a Kustom kraft sleeve in it.. looked as good as any others i've seen.. symetrical and well matched.

After changing hands, and almost 20 hrs on it, with a port job from an ATV shop that went out of business. Yeah, that must be Kustom Kraft's fault for it seizing. Seriously? And as far as the fitment issue between the sleeve and the case halves, did you call and inform Marvin about this so he could make good on it? (Because he would have) Or did you go and complain to everybody else? We've gotten many resleeves done by Kustom Kraft and haven't had heating issues or fitment issues.

Kustom craft re plated the cylinder on my t3 and i've been happy with it. They will etch their name on it though so if you don't want that done i'd let them know. I surprised me when i got it back.

sorry if my experience was too much for you all.got balls250r i would use kustom kraft again i just know to ask for thinner sleeve if i was wanting to port the cylinder.i didnt know it was agaisnt the rules for anyone to have a bad experience and post it.i never blamed kk for the seizing in person or my post.i also never complained to one person about them being a bad business,I WOULD USE THEM AGAIN.im older and more knowlegable now so i no what to look for.you should always ask alot of questions before you send your motor off.i didnt and i learned.hope this helps you.

What type of cylinder are you sending for a port job? Does it currently have a sleeve installed? Or are YOU wanting to have the bore opened up to accept a big piston? Please explain? I've been to Eric Gorrs shop in Madison twice. He's a cool dude that knows a lot on engine design and what works. He is typically uses a more conservative approach to tune, and believes in more power everywhere. Drag race engines are not what he typically does. He offers complete 'all inclusive' kits that are affordably priced. Kustom Kraft was located near my house for years before they relocated to Colorado. At that time, sleeve installation was considered the best way to re-condition a worn cylinder. "before replating became a better approach for applicable cylinders" My local Yamaha shop sent all of their stuff to them to be done. Results were generally fine. Cylinders were never sent to them for performance type porting, those were generally sent to smaller somewhat local tuners. There are many fine porters out there, but you need to know what you want, and discuss those feelings with an experienced hand.

I have heard on other forums that flotek does a really good job with porting. http://flotekperformance.com/home
