200x cam question..please help

i got a 84 200 x ..the motor was completly rebuilt big bore w a high compresion piston ported airbox and carb mods racen clutch etc.. i feel like i need a little more power through the gears..i kno my next step is a cam..now heres my question.. the xr 200 cam will i feel a difference or not? i have new valves, springs, all that. do i have to do anything or just buy the cam and put it in? and what year xrs work?or are the best? thank you

The way I always looked at these factory parts upgrades is that when your done it will only run as good as the motor the parts came from....if your lucky.

So if you do the xr cam and maybe a carb and whatever else, in my mind it should run like a stock xr.

I'd go after market...but thats just me.
