    new guy with a question

Hello all new to the forum have read alot allready. Proud owner of a 1985 250es and a 1985 atc 70. Big red runs like a timex watch. THe 70 is a finicky little thing. Im an auto tech by trade so i know my way around a motor and have decided the 70 needs a new carb. Where is a good place to find a reasonably priced carb for it. Have gotten new points condenser and coil with spark plug end from dr. atv. Found the place by reading and searching this site. great website for info on these trikes and I thank those involved for the wealth of ino that is avilable.
Any way my problem is the carb is so wore out no amount of cleaning or adjusting will fix my rich condition. Plug is black black black. Runs great if you ride it like you stole it but wont putt putt putt like its supposed to. Thanks again for any info available.
    David

Oh sorry meant to introduce myself I'm the father of a beautiful 5 year old baby girl and the husband of the greatest wife to ever be. At least thats what I tell myself. Just kidding. Been triken for 20 yers started when I was 12 on an atc 125m. What a great trike. No maintenance and constant abuse couldnt kill that thing. Next was an 85 250r what a monster. Got old, sold it and bought a big red. Best trike ever made. just push the button and go every time period. Now im doin a 70 for my daughter. At least thats what I tell the wife. Learned allot lurkin this site and wanted to say hello.

I've looked at a few "new" ones on ebay are they clones made in china or are they the real thing? I'm ok with a clone but do they work ok? I'm fine with modifying it but I want to make sure they are reliable and not chinese crap. I've seen their quads and bikes lets just say I'm not to impressed.
