    200x cam

    i want get a bigger cam for my 84 200x. will i feel a difference with the xr 200 cam? and does anybody kno where to get a aftermarket cam if not??

    I recently installed a xr200 cam in my x. Seems to rev a bit higher and gets there more quikly. Might help more if I had a slightly bigger carb, but that's next on the list.

    yea i plan on doin a bigger carb next too.. did u buy cam new or used ? and did u have todo any thing to put it in or did u just throw it in n adjust valves??

    be carefull of the cheap ones on ebay! I bought one for my the wifes X and the hole for the pin was drilled in the wrong place.I called the place and they said they would send me another one but i didnt go through the trouble scince i already had put the stock one back in.

    I emailed the guy, it's got a .390 lift in it. .005 less than the race cam sold by powroll. This should only be used on race engine, in my opinion. You would defiantly need stiffer valve springs. And it would be for power in the upper rpms.

    You will feel a small difference, mostly in the top end. Powroll makes cams for the 200x. With the xr cam you can run stock valve springs.

    I bought the cam used off Ebay. It was in like new shape when checked. I just put it in, adjusted the valves and ran it.

    sickkk thanks u guys.. i just bought the xr cam off ebay seems ok it was 25 bills so if she does good im set.. i got one more question my buddies got alil 185 will my stock x cam be any difference in his motor because once i throw mine in n if it works out i was gna sell him mine???
