    Alternator flywheeler/rotor

    Do i need the Honda puller to get the rotor of the crankshaft or will a similar puller work fine

    Its better to use the honda flywheel puller if you can get one. It threads into the flywheel hub and pushes safely against the crankshaft to pop the flywheel. I used a small 3-jawed puller on an ATC110 once in a pinch, but i had to grind the jaws down to get it to work. There is a risk of damaging the flywheel and more so the end of the crank, so i wouldnt recommend doing that way unless you have no alternative.

    The aftermarket ones on eBay work ok also, and sometimes you can just find the right size/thread pitch metric bolt at the hardware store
