    Slipping 85 250r kicker

    My kicker will catch when i go really slow but if i try to do it faster it just slips. How should i go about fixing it? Do i have to split the case? thanks, collin

    Nope, it's on the right side under your clutch cover.

    I have had new crate motor 250R gears, spring, and the shaft for 5 years now, PM me if interested - or anyone else either!

    mine only does it every few kicks...what causes it is what i would like to know
    1985 250R
    FMF pipe and silencer, K&N, 4" extended swingarm

    so all the gears, spring and shaft are all right there? just pull out old and put new in? Sorry this is my first 250r lol never worked on one. any help would be great. thanks, collin

    This is what you need to fix your 85. One of my 85s is doing the same thing. For about twenty years now.

    so i take the case cocver off, pull out the bad and put in the new? correct? is it hard to do?

    My other 85 is the same cept for white shrouds. 86 stock cept for the grips, muffler and guards. 85 is org cept for brake guard and crome heat shield.
