fuel running out of carb bowl?

Hey everyone, I just picked up an 85 atc250sx, runs good but unless I shut off the fuel, when I stop it all the gas in the tank will run out the bowl overflow tube. Obviously somethings sticking, but what might that be?

Like Jon Boy said. Float is sticking or it is not closing all the way and needs to be adjusted.

make sure your carb is fitted into the boot correctly. i have found out that if i do not have my carb situated right then it will leak out of the overflow tube

If cleaning and setting the float doesnt help, you may end up getting a rebuild kit, but setting the float should stop it.
This is my trike. There are many like it but this one is mine. My trike is my best friend, and it is my life. I must master it as I must master myself. My trike without me is useless. Without my trike, I am useless. I must ride my trike true. My trike and I know that what counts is not the amount of miles we ride, but the time we ride together. My trike is human in it's own ways, therefore I will learn it as my brother. I will learn it's weaknesses, it's strengths, it's parts, and it's soul.

Thanks guys, I'll give it a good cleaning! I went ahead and ordered a carb kit, figured I might as well do that while I have it out
