Has no one even attempted this???
I am going to do this to my 200x. I havent' tried it yet though. It should not be too hard. just tie in your ballast to the original light wires? Are you going to keep your stock light and just modify it for your bulb to fit inside of it, or are you planning on replacing the stock light fixture?

For the KX500 but if you have a timing wheel it should work, dont know about the power curve though

I have to question whether or not this will work. The Tecate has a huge jump in voltage from idle to full throttle. I have never tried it, but I must say I am slightly doubtful that it will work.

if the trike does not have a regulator you will need one. moose makes one that is available from parts unlimited. the other thing to consider is the HID ballast does not like voltage spikes and fluctuation like a halogen or incandescent light. Therefore you might want to consider installing a battery eliminator..yes I know your trike prolly does not have a battery, but what the eliminator does is smooths the voltage coming from the stator, the eliminator is pretty much a capacitor than can handle voltage spikes and drops. You also need to make sure you have DC going to your headlight, many of the older trikes use AC voltage, and that will kill your ballast.
edit...ok, the link to the 3wheeler HIS thread is pretty much exactly what Im saying...guess I should of read it before I typed all this crap out!

Does anyone know the easiest wat to measure the watt output of their stator. I know you can mesause volts and that awatts over volts is amps but how do you measue the potential amp output.... I am assuming load tester???
