    200x freshen uppers

Since my crank went out i am redoing a few things. I ordered a swinger, that was pretty dirty. I got to get some extra metal to weld some skid plate mounts back on it. But i cleaned it up pretty good. Got it put back on today, but forgot to snap a pic. I also got my ss bolt kit in the mail today. All 5mm Allen Hex head's. They look nice. Also going to continue to clean up some of the chrome, metal on the tripples and forks tomorrow. I adjusted the shock, and the rebound is excellent. Friday i might get the extra cash to get my 200x cylinder bored to 66mm and bump the M compression up to XR. Ohh ya. I painted the head black with high temp paint today, will take pics of that tomorrow.
Here is a few pics, one of the dirt swing arm is showing how many layers of crud i had to get through.

Well crap.. i guess i got to do something like clear coat it. I didn't realize they were steel.. but yes, i used a wire brush on a grinder and cleaned all the paint off and it worked great. You guys positive they are steel? A heliarc welder was used, if it's steel then i would be able to extend them with the materials i have at hand. The tig welder is out of service, so that not usable.

lol i was rushing the entire time.. we only have 55 minutes a day to do what we have to do. I seen the type of welds and assumed it was alluminum. What color? I guess black.. that kind of sucks. I really like the silver color it had. Oh well.
And no, the '86 will not swap to first gen. Sorry.

If your in question of material remember the magnet. That will tell you if it is ferrous or non ferrous. The magnet will stick to steel, not stick to aluminum. It won't stick to a lot of stainless but there are a few numbers of stainless that are magnetic. Aluminum doesn't make sparks and it will ball up on a grinding wheel.

    skid plat bracket

kasey can you give the measurements of the skid plate bracket.from bolt hole to bolt hole and the height of the bracket from the bottom of the swingarm.if you look at the picture you can see where i made marks for the measurements needed.also i can extend your swingarm,i just did one and it came out really nice.
