    Manual Decomp lever setup??? Ideas?

Broke the pull cord on my 1984 200s the other day so I took off the recoil to put a new cord on and as I suspected the decomp cable wasn't hooked up. Infact all the decomp parts are missing from inside the recoil. So I'm thinking I'll just setup a manual lever. Anybody have a good setup they like? Not sure if I want it on the right side of the bar or the left side. Sometime I start it sitting on the trike and sometimes I start standing off to the side. Let me know how you did it and what parts you used and pics would be great as well.

    Thanks

shouldnt be hard..... i made a custom reverse lever for my trx300. rear brake cable stretched so instead of leaving it on there dragging or the lever flopping i used a bmx brake lever...... its a dia comp dirty harry flipped upside down. plus its got the "neat factor" goin for it. just gotta inform ppl its not a brake before they ride it. used stock cable and had to cut the barrel piece off of the adjuster and thread it into the lever, then go in fron the back side and adjust the slack

I think the first year 185s had a manual decomp lever on the head itself. I think if you found an early had and just swapped out the manual decomp parts. And for the manual decomp parts, there is a lever that you flipped up on the head before you pull started the machine.

I think I have the manual lever parts from the 185s valve cover if you decide to go that route
