I hope santa drops off some .45 ammo this year

So when the wife asked what I wanted I said a new carry pistol so low and behold my kimber TLE II is getting a little brother a Kimber crimson ultra carry. But the best part is my uncle is giving me my grandfathers Remington Rand 1911 that he was issued in WWII when he comes to visit next week. I wanted it for quite some time now. I will post up some pics next week when I get them.

Just saw a ad for kimber, the first time I ever heard of them but the ones I saw were over $1000 range and I believe one of them was the ultra carry, how long them been around??

I do believe Kimber was started up in the late 70s. I already have over 5000 rounds through my Stainless TLE II with out one single problem. They do how ever start around $1000 and go up so they are not the cheapest 1911 pistols made but the quality and customer service is second to none. The LAPD Swat and some special forces units carry Kimbers.

Santa dropped my Christmas present off the day before thanksgiving......a new S@W 686. A 1911 will be on next years wish list . I like the Springfield Loaded Stainless, but those Kimbers are sweeeeeett too! 1911's are the only autos im interested in. Just not into the "plastic" handguns. I know Glocks are the AK47 of the handgun world, they just dont tickle me in that special place! lol!

Yeah ammo prices are steep but I reload for all my guns except my auto pistols. I try and buy a few boxes of .45,9,and 40 ammo when ever I find it on sale and stock it up. I have an old box of 44 mag from around 1998 that was like $15 for 50 rounds boy how times have changed.
