    Dies after 30 minutes if riding min later starts back up and runs awesone

    84 200s, runs like a raped ape for 30-60 minutes, then runs bad for 5 miuntes and stalls out, and let it sit for 10 minutes and it starts up and runs great for another 30-60 minutes. this happened for like 4 ours 2 sundaya ago, now i have no spark at all today, i'm thinking coil, what do you guys think

    Is the gas cap venting correctly?
    80s......185 atc, Yamaha tri-moto 200, 85 200x with tons of work
    90s......89 Suzuki quad racer 250 (raced 250 A class for 6 years, late 90s.. custom framed 250x with long travel shocks and a built 350x motor.... built Honda 110
    00s...... chomeoly framed 350 RX with all the goodies (thanks to my bro)
    2012.....Replaced the 350x motor for a 444cc YZ426

    Yeah, but he says he has no spark. It very well could be a coil, or possibly a failing stator. Try a new plug, so you've got that covered, and then look at the other two items. The manual has a resistance reading for the stator winding, if you've got an ohmmeter. I can't remember if there's one for the ignition coil or not.

    If your coil is cracked it will run fine cold, then stop when the coil gets warm. Look at the coil for any cracks. If there is a crack, then that is your problem. You may not be able to see the crack, but that is my bet as to why it quits running.

    i hate intrmitent electrical faults!!!!! change the plug then test the coil, coil lead, plug cap first, then the stator it's probably one of those!
    If it ain't sideways......what's the point!!
