Other smaller or lesser known companies, such as Tiger ATV, Franks, and Cagiva, produced racing three wheelers, but in much smaller numbers. Few of these machines are known to exist today and are highly sought by collectors.

Good stuff guys ,,,,,, GOOD STUFF!
A guy down the road from my parents has one. I ve been trying to get it for 5 years or so. Did tricky dicks actually do conversions and sell turn key trikes or just sell the kits? I know that this one was a kit that he bought and converted himself. Some day...
As far as general conversion kits, we did both. We made conversions for just about anything. If we had the bike dimensions, we could make the kit and send it out. However, most of the Cagiva's were turn key because we already had the dirt bikes and would ship the trikes out in the original crate. We got the bikes at a huge discount because we worked out a deal with Cagiva. So it was cheaper to get the whole unit through us instead of buying a bike from a local dealer and then the kit.
Can you get some pics of it?
I was wondering about the rake on the 200- In a lot of the shots, the rake (to me) looks to be , well I don't know the technical term, but the forks seem angled kind of too far forward at the wheel and now looking at the shots a little closer, I'm noticing there's a leading axle on some and a trailing axle on certain bikes.
Were some of the Cagivas dirt bike frame conversions & some were custom made frames, or does leading/trailing axle really make that big of a difference?
off on a dirt road here Tricky, but you had mentioned that you still had the paperwork for the trikes you sold and I`m trying to find out if a guy from here has my friend Larry`s old Cagiva WMX200 race trike.....name of the guy who bought it (he says shipped from TD`s shop back in the day) was Larry Keown (spellcheck) and he can`t find frame #s for me to confirm with Eric on his frame....Larry raced his proffesionally back then (bought it strictly to race)
I actually spoke with Andy about this not long ago, yeah, I think all he said he needed was the guys name and we can go from there. Would be cool to know if this is it or not. As I said thou, either way, when it's finished I"ll still bring it by and let him check it out.

It does look like the rake was a little long on the Cagiva especially once you lowered the rear. But it didn't seem to effect the steering like other conversions. Most of the dirt bike conversions usually resulted in cutting the stem and shortening the rake. A few of the first Cagiva's were assembled with a trailing axle to minimize the long rake. We knew we were going to build a bunch of these so we were trying to avoid cutting the stem. But it just didn't look right and the factory front brake line was too long since the caliper was on the same side as the reservoir. So we tried it with a leading axle and for some strange reason it seemed to handle better. Even though it increased the rake a little. The forks were too big but we were trying to keep it affordable and use as much of the factory dirt bike parts as we could. All of the Cagiva's used the dirt bike frame. We made the bolt on subframe.
I don't see any that went directly to Larry. I do see one that was sold to a dealer in Lexington KY. My sales reports aren't 100% though, so it's possible he did get one directly from us. Some guys would buy one though and we would just ship it to one of our dealers if they were close by.
My Cagiva numbers that I came up with were from a combination of sales reports, Cagiva purchasing and shipping invoices. So if you can get the frame #, I can track it down a little easier.
I joined the site a few months ago but have been way to busy to follow this lately. My father (oldschool66) and I enjoy following all of the Cagiva talk and this site has recently energized both of us to pull the old TD 125 trike out of the back of the garage and wipe 23+ years of dust off of it. I have contacted Tricky Dick II through facebook and sent him a few pictures of the bikes current condition and would love to share them with everyone on the site but I am having trouble uploading any of the pic's. We are the original owners and I can assure you this one is 100 % original and untouched. If anyone could help with the pictures it would be great.
Awesome 125, very cool
