I shot the M91/30 for the first time yesterday and it sure was a blast. gun came sighted in...=) Had no problem hitting cans and 1qt jugs at 40-60 yards.
only cost me 10 bucks to shoot for over an hour with friends.

I ran a pot of boiling water strait down the barrel with a funnel. helps dry faster when its real hot. (then patches of solvent then oil)
and yeah they are surplus from my work. shot a round into ice and dug out the round from the ice to find it in almost perfect shape. being an FMJ all it did was slightly bend so when you roll it down a table it slightly wobbles. I was surprised to see how good of shape it was in after shooting into solid ice

Yea those FMJ bullets hold up pretty well. I have a .50 BMG around here somewhere I dug out of the ground after I had the chance to shoot a Semi Auto .50 cal. It was hardly deformed at all.
Good call on the HOT water, I failed to add the hot part in. :P

I got a 1953 Chinese Mod. 44 carbine type 53 mosin nagant recently and boy do I love it so far!
I picked one of those up too!^^ Its a beater, but I kinda like it that way!
No trikes. Too old, too crippled. Unless I find one I can't live without!
