I need some new tires for my 250r, but i dont know what to get. Can anyone give me some ideas on some tires? I ride trails, fields, and roads.

Dont get any really agressive mud bogger tires, they dont belong on it, make it look stupid IMO, and handle like crap. What kind of tires do you have on it now, and what size? If there is a lot of obsticles you drive over, I would probably stick with the 22 inchers. If you want a litttle better handling, you could go with a 20 inch. I like hole shots, they are a great tire, they hook up, and slide good. I have also tried Kenda dominators, they hook up real good, but dont corner the greatest. One of the best all around tires, and a little cheaper are the Carlisle turf tamers, just a basic knobbie. These are 3 that I would recommend for your riding areas. Good luck!

I would suggest 20X11X8 Turf tamers. they are fairly in-expensive, do well on all of the terrains you mentioned, wear great, and handle pretty well too. the top picture where you think it has 18" tires on it - those are 20" tires for sure. I would steer clear of 22" tires unless you are a die hard trail rider / hare scramble racer. You may even consider re-gearing with 20" tires to get a little more speed you will loose by down-sizing from stock tires.

Run ITP holeshots or OEM Ohtsu - preferably in a 20x10x9 size - you won't be dissapointed - The Ohtsus run about 50.00 a piece and are still available...I run them on my 350x and love the way they handle...plenty of grip, slides well and predictably, and rides nice over rougher terrain.
