Need help! Newbie need 200x clutch help

Bought a non running 85 200x,bought a motor from a fellow member on here, suppossed to have a fresh rebuild.Pulled my engine couple days ago to get ready for the new one,it came today.Just opened box in garage and first thing I notice is where clutch cable hooks into lever on side of engine, the new engine has the clutch tension going the wrong way? The tension is in the opposite direction of the engine I just pulled,I dont see how it will work this way? any suggestions?
engine 1 is old engine, eng 2 is new

If it is possible, it looks like the spring may be on backwards. That or the clutch actuator deal jumped while putting the engine cover back on. See PM
