How to remove the shifter drum on my 78 atc 90?
I finally got a gear set for my 78. I'm not sure how to go about getting the old gears out with the shifter barrel holding it in. I don't see another other fasteners holding it. I was able to pull the first fork off because their was a tooth missing on that gear by it. But putting the new gear on their is not enough clearance for the pin to slide out to slide the fork on. I would think that the whole drum has to come out but i don't see how it does. I tried pulling on the shift indicator on the other side of the drum but it doesn't budge. Please help.
