84 big red 200es always ran mint until toady - nothing changed??

Just like the title says. I checked the obvious, carb fuel, spark. Yesterday I played with the timing advance in the CDI and got it to run mint again, thinking this was the problem and now fixed. Today, tried to start it and nothing. Seemed to run awesome yesterday after I played with the timing. I even started it and stopped it several times. Is it possible that it will only run when warm?? Cold here these days 10 degrees at best. I am really confused...

    Thanks in advance.

    is the carb adjsuted correctly?
have you tested that your gttign spark to the plug? you said you played with it, but did you retest. ensure the plug waire is not worn out and the end is not about to fall off. i had a plug wire that went bad and causes issues. check the rotator springs. are they broken or rusted? these will cause issues.

Fuel cap vent open? Lots of good clean fuel in the tank? Fuel getting to the carb?
