Nice work on 2lb test! 22" long should be in the 5lb range I think.

I love catching pike. Everyone loves pan fishing, me I'd rather catch two or three pike and make dinner out of them fillet out the Y bones and you have fish that is as good or better than pan fish, best part it's about 1/3 of the time to fillet the fish out.

Yes, you can catch bass all year. I release most of my fish and just keep gills and crappies. All fish have to eat.

    Found my pictures finally.

I saw this thread a while ago, but couldn't find my pictures. Came across them today, didn't come out very good, had to take a picture of a picture, no way to scan. Anyways you can get the jist of her (think it was a female). She was a little over 33" long. I don't know what the Northern Pike weighed, we had 2 huge fillet steaks about 1/2 hour after I caught her, lol. I caught her on that tiny Panther Martin with 10lb. test. Took me quite a while, maybee 5 to 8 minutes, that's actually a long time to get one in with all the reeds and underbrush. I didn't have a steel leader either, usually they cut the line with those teeth. She was barely hooked in that corner of her mouth, fun!**Warning** - I'm pretty so don't gaze to long upon beauty or you may strain your eyes, lol, just messing with ya fellas! LOL!
