Awesome.. Join the Tecate group in the group section. It is full of info on Tecate's. What questions do you have? Check the shift lever to make sure it's tight. Check for cracks in the framerails under the seat on either side. The stators tend to quit, the magnets on the flywheels tend to delaminate and take out the stators.

Water pump seal is not the greatest. Poor rear shock.
Frame cracks, weak foot pegs, loose hardware everywhere.....
