Replaced 85 350X tool box with 200X one
Hey...
I broke my tool box off my 350X last fall when I put on those Ohstu H-Trac 903's on my bike. The plastic around where they bolt to the frame cracked and then broke off. I was lucky to find it as it came off just past my lawn as I entered the field. Sooooooo...
Last night I noticed a guy had a 200X Tool Box that was mint just in the neighboring town. We met up tonight, and found that the main tool box was identical. I bought it and just swapped the lids (put the 'long' lid from my 350x box on it to hold the spanner wrench).
I also figured out why mine split. My 350X has an aftermarket 6-pack cooler on the back. So when it was tightened down, the toolbox didn't go upo against the post like it was designed to do. When I mount it back on, I will put washers behind it so that it is flush against my grab bar.
