    83 250 r rebuild

me and my freind are going to rebuild his 83 R soon cause the pistion whent and i was wondering if we were missing anything on our list of stuff that should be replaced not mods just things that wear out this is whats on the list to get so far:
    wisco top end kit
    34mm kehin air striker carb
    axle berrings
swing arm berrings deppending how bad
    clutch kit
rear disk and other brake parts if needed
    black maier plastics
    rino liner for frame
and repaint a bunch of parts i think he going to do the rims and small parts red
there has to be other stuff that should be replaced when we rebuild this thing we dont what to do all this work and have some stupid parts break the first time out

I would get caliper seals for both brake calipers, get the swingarm bearings to be on the safe side and get some front wheel bearings too. Also the steering stem bearing should be greased or just replaced. I would also get fork seals and boots (if needed). I would inspect the clutch and throttle cables and replace if needed. Seals and bearings are real cheap so basically I would replace all of them. I would get some shrink wrap for the wiring harness, and dielectric grease for all the connections.

Check out the crank bearings, wouldn't want to just rebuild the upper end if it needs more.

Lisle makes a great seal puller, it was like $8 and made the replacing the carrier bearings a breeze.
